  Founded in March 2024, Hefei Xeonova Technology Co., Ltd. is a frontier tech enterprise empowered by the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC). We are dedicated to the engineering and commercialization of controllable nuclear fusion. Under the leadership of Professor Sun Xuan (30 years of fusion expertise), our team leverages a decade of research from the KMAX project to develop the "Triple Confinement" linear fusion scheme. We have secured significant funding from top-tier investors to deliver a compact and efficient fusion solution for the world.

 

  Founder Professor Sun Xuan has 30 years of extensive experience in fusion research both domestically and internationally. His USTC KMAX team has been deeply involved in the FRC mirrors for over a decade, possessing profound experience from experimental devices to engineering practice. Xeonova's linear FRC mirror technology innovatively combines field reversed configuration, strong magnetic mirrors, and electric potential barriers to form a triple confinement scheme. This is 

expected to improve the axial confinement capability of linear devices, comprehensively enhancing plasma density, temperature, and confinement time to internationally advanced levels, and obtaining disruptive physical results.

 

Since its establishment, the company has quickly gained market recognition. In 2024, it completed a hundred million of RMB angel round of financing led by well-known institutions such as China Merchants Venture Capital and CAS Star, and in 2025, it completed a pre-A round of financing worth hundreds of millions of RMB led by Ant Group. Field-reversed Linear Axisymmetric Mirror Experiment (FLAME), contributing Chinese strength to human society's journey towards a future of unlimited clean energy.
